Overview
During carbon black handling, material can agglomerate into lumps, sometimes up to 50 mm, in dryers, screw conveyors, bucket elevators and silos. These lumps can accumulate in conveying lines and cause plugging.
The lumps breaker crushes agglomerates into pieces of approximately 1 to 5 mm that can be handled by reprocessing conveying lines. It uses a casing with static channels and a pin rotor; as the pins pass through the channels, they break down the lumps.
