Overview
Toothed and gear wheels provide the mechanical connection between a high-speed turbine rotor and driven equipment such as alternators, compressors, blowers and pumps. They operate under high tangential loads, thermal-expansion gradients and pitch-line velocities that can exceed 100 m/s.
SSCPPL produces turbine gear wheels, bull gears, pinions and turning-gear rings from vacuum-degassed alloy forgings with case hardening and profile-ground flank modifications where required.
